Hiking Oldham County Parks - Wendell Moore
Take a break from your hectic life and take a hike... through Wendell Moore, Morgan Conservation and Briar Hill Parks. Enjoy a guided 3-mile hike through each park. Work on your personnel fitness with old friends while making new ones as you enjoy what your Oldham County parks have to offer. Each hike will meet at the park the hike is in. Bottled water provided.
Wendell Moore Park has mostly paved trails and gentile slops. Good for a beginner to introduce walking 3-miles. Elevation change of 177 feet from lowest to highest point. Meet at the John W Black Center.Briar Hill Park is a dirt path with several inclines, declines and creek crossings. True trail hiking with narrow path with trees on both side of the trail. Designed for mountain biking, this trail has many turns and switchbacks. Elevation change of 216 feet from lowest to highest. Meet in parking lot near the trail head to the right of the entrance. Morgan Conservation Park consists of wide and narrow hiking trails with very steep and long climbs and descends. Path is dirt and grass that runs by creeks, open areas and woods. Elevation change of 337 feet from low to high points. Meet in the parking lot at the trail head near the park map.Mondays & Thursdays 5:30PM-7:00PM
